Long-term relationship with Filipino

We have been in touch with two groups in the Philippines, one in Manila and the other is in Cebu. At Christmas time we send Christmas cards  and some donated items (towels, toys, clothes, etc. ) . Usually we buy big boxes to send them there. This time our delivery was late and the boxes arrived after Christmas but recipients were very happy.

I’m sorry for not being able to write in this page for a long time. As a Secretary General of Go!Fly!!Wheelchairs I have been occupied with lots of work.

On January 23rd, we had MSC(Multinational Senior Community) New Year Party at Clark Center. About 40 people attended and enjoyed the potluck buffet, performances and a bingo game. This time there new members came to join and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Wheelchair Cafe held in Cebu

leave a comment »

It has been more than three months since we did this ‘wheelchair cafe’ in Cebu. I have waited to finish the whole project, but feel that at least I have to write a bit about our activities. This was funded by ‘Imai Memorial Foundation’ and it was meant to follow what we did with JICA early this year.

We had nearly 40 participants during our operation of ‘Wheelchair cafe’ and we could fix or maintained some 15-20 wheelchairs there. Some participants came from the neighbors city of Talisay to help us, because they were trained in January. Overall this tproject was successful and we want to continue supporting the people with disabilities in the Philippines.
