We coordinated the meeting to know about Moyo Children Center in Kenya from Terumi Matsuhita on May 31st.  She is responsible for the care of street children in Thika town, operating school lunch project and scholarchip, while taking care of more than 20 kids in a home completed 2 years ago.

She talked about a robbery happened in March 2011, some injured by knives. After that she made a security as same as Japanese Embassy, because ‘Life comes first’, she said. It is surprising that she could do so much by herself. But it seems the way of organizing this group will be changed and the young successor will take some parts of her responsibilities.

Neighbors sold some goods last year to donate money for school lunch project. This year we will join ‘Fair Trade Festa’ on June 30, Sunday at Odori 8-chome. Please visit our stall there.
