5cm of soil removed from school grounds (校庭の表土5cm除去)by M

At Kaoru Elementary School and Daiichi Junior High School grounds, 5cm of soil was removed because of the high value of radiation on 28th. But the soil is still in the grounds now as it is dangerous industrial garbage and the garbage yard refused to accept the soil. Next to the junior high, there is a playground for kids and they played happily without knowing the danger until that day. Some families, especially with children, are moving out to other cities.  Koriyama has some of the most beautiful hanging cherry blossom trees, and for us from Hokkaido, not only the famous cherry trees, but the combination of cherry, plum and peach trees are so beautiful. Only if there wasn’t an accident at the Nuclear Power Plants!

dangerous soil
